A great book called Maiden, Mother, Crone by D.J. Conway.
Going to share a part with you:
"Whether or not humankind as a whole believes in the Goddess, She exists. You can call Her an archetype, a force of nature, or a symbol, it matters not. She can, and does, manifest herself differently to each human. We need to return to the fact that the Goddess's face can be seen in all her creations. Her powers' remain as awesome and as far reaching as in the beginning. She has never made an injunction that humans must suffer and practice unreasonable denials to please Her, she only requires that we move in Her cycles of being, at one with each other, the seasons, and the planet.
The Goddess may be seen as ruling over the world in one sense, but in a larger interpretation She is the world. She can be understood spiritually by every individual because She is manifest in each of us. Because She is manifest in each person, She does not sanction dominion of one sex or race. Her aspects slip constantly from one form and face into another, for rigidity is foreign to her laws.
The Goddess archetype is at the core of every human's essential being, as the physical mother is the center of every small child's life. The Goddess is not found by searching aimlessly through the world. The Goddess can only be discovered by going within, by searching the subconscious and the collective unconscious for the symbols that mark the path leading to her. If we do not search for and find Her, we will continue to feel incomplete."
