After reading this article, “Poverty isn’t a lack of character. It’s a lack of cash”

I was motivated to share my thoughts about poverty. I was raised in a farm based community in NW
Ohio during the mid ‘50’s - early ‘70’s, until I went off to college for city life in Columbus, Ohio. I never
went hungry during those times, my parents did work very hard to provide for their four children. I
was taught by them and the local community at large that in order to get ahead, you had to work
