Don't know if you guys have seen this movie? It came out apparently in 2013, but I only got to see it today 
It’s about some guys that come back together after 20 years to complete the “Golden Mile” (12 pubs) in the town where they grew up. Along the way they realize that the town has been taken over by androids. The movie is really plenty of truth shown you in plain face about the reality we live in (how humanity is being controlled and asleep, how “aliens” are among us by taking over humans with influence, AI & technological advancement, etc.).
But the most noticeable truth in plain sight was at the end. The town is destructed, which triggers a worldwide electromagnetic pulse that destroyed all electrical power on Earth, setting humanity back to the Dark Ages.
