I end up in the household of a spiritual guru who was probably a mix of the ones I read. There were some strange visual happenings in that house like folks performing rituals in front of each other. The came the cougar. Big cougar, blonde/golden in color. The guru says to me, "be the cat", Become her, be her. I did the best I could as the cougar approached me. Not sure if I was going to get attacked or not but the cat rubbed against me as I lay my hands on it. We bonded. I even got dog like kisses!! Very clear vivid dream It was and I felt at least semi-lucid.

That's cool myka!
As a side note, John Lamb Lash has said that his spirit animal is a cougar. Not sure if there's any correlation, but it's interesting!

In core shamanic beliefs, sometimes your Power Animal will appear to you in dreams (because sometimes in 3D reality, it may be difficult for such animals to show up and make you take notice).
How very cool, Myka, that your PA is a cougar! I love big cats! My recommendation -- well, not mine -- in my shamanic training -- they recommend that you do not look up dream interpretation of what a cougar might mean. But you should do some research on that animal and see what it may mean to you personally. Here's a short article on that: shamanism.org/articles/PowerAnimalRetrieval.html
And I don't suppose it's appropriate to call you a Cougar here.

I am still not sure what power animal is or what is my power animal. ive gone to links many times. but still inconclusive to me

I am in a small room as a magnificent male lion enters. I am frozen with fear. As he moves toward me I fear I will make a wrong move; his scent fills my whole being. He stealthily moves to my side and I can feel his breath and warm, wet nose on my skin. I meet this guy again years later, this time we are rolling around, playing in the grass. I feel so much love for this animal. Well, I am a five-planet Leo with a great mane of hair. Thanks for sharing myka.

Speaking of lions, this was maybe 5 months ago:
I was resting against a big lionness, petting her absent-mindedly as I laid there watching the afternoon skies. Someone else was with me, but I don't recognize who it is. Later, we (this person and I) left and went up a spiral staircase that gets narrower and tighter as we near the top (but we never quite get to the top). In the distance, I heard a couple of screams. They sounded like female. I assumed that the lion had mauled them, or at least scared the living daylights out of them.
